Dr. Ranjit Powar

Dr. Ranjit Powar took her PhD in Psychology and started her career as an academician. She taught and carried out research in Apeejay College, Jalandhar, Government College Chandigarh and the Punjabi University, Patiala, Punjab. She has several research papers and articles to her credit during this period. She continues to free lance articles about social, psychological and general issues.
She switched careers to join the State Administrative Services Punjab in 1989. Along with her government job, she continued psychological counselling and life skills training at the Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration, Chandigarh as well as the corporate sector. She retired from service as Deputy Director from the Department of Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Government of Punjab in 2015. She presently runs Nishan Educational Trust, imparting training to teachers on applied psychological subjects. She also works as a psychological counsellor.

Mr. Hardeep Singh

Mr. Hardeep Singh is a founding member of Nishan Educational Trust along with Dr. Ranjit Powar. Hardeep has had a distinguished career in Banking as a Senior Manager in the USA with Citibank, HSBC Bank, and Toronto-Dominion Bank. Besides various Banking and Investment Certifications spread over his Banking career, Hardeep is also Certified to Administer the MBTI Personality Assessment Tool by the Myers and Briggs Foundation in Gainesville, Florida, USA. Hardeep has an M.A, and M.B.A from Panjab University, Chandigarh, India. After retirement from banking, Hardeep spends his time between the USA and India, working with educators in under-served regions for the betterment of underprivileged youth through Nishan Educational Trust.
